Welcome the Essex County Eels to the fold.

The New England Future Stars continues to develop into one of the state’s premier leagues for 10U through high school aged hockey players throughout the spring and summer months. Entering its 10th season in 2017, the Future Stars offers a high level of competition, professional coaching and an atmosphere structured towards skill development, challenging players by having them play to their upcoming winter season age level. By combining game play and practice sessions, the program is aimed at providing players with a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of ice hockey, while keeping a consistent schedule that allows players, coaches and families flexibility throughout the offseason.

The league’s 10th season will also bring with it the birth of its newest franchise. The Essex County Eels will have teams competing in all six NEFS divisions and be playing out of Endicott College’s Ray Bourque Arena in Beverly, MA.

Registration is now open for 2017 tryouts, which will begin in early February for most 10U, 12U and 14U teams. Evaluations for the Varsity, Girls U14 and Girls U19 divisions are set for late March. Dates and times will vary by location and team.

Season opening games will take place in May 2017.
