League Standings

League Format

Teams will play a regular season schedule of 12 games. The playoffs follow a single elimintation format beginning immediately upon the conculsion of the regular season.

League standings will be formulated using the following criteria:

  1. Most points.
  2. Most wins.
  3. Most wins in regulation time.
  4. Least goals against.
  5. Most goals for.
  6. Least number of penalty minutes.
  7. Coin toss.

(NOTE: the NGIN platform does not always accurately reflect NEFS standings. In the event of two teams an equal number of points, please refer to the above formula.)

10U and 12U Divisions: Playoff seeding will be based off of the Regular Season league standings. Teams seeded 1 through 5 will compete for the Gold Cup, while teams seeded 6 through 10 will compete for the Silver Cup. Teams seeded fourth, fifth, ninth and 10th will participate in preliminary round games, followed by Semi-Finals and Championship games.

14U and Varsity Divisions: Playoff seeding will be based off of the Regular Season league standings. Teams seeded 1 through 6 will compete for the Gold Cup, while teams seeded 7 through 12 will compete for the Silver Cup, with Semi-Final, followed by a Championship game for each level.

Girls U14 Division: Playoff seeding will be based off of the Regular Season league standings. Teams seeded 1 and 2 will receive first round byes, while teams seeded 3 through 6 will participate in preliminary round games, followed by Semi-Finals and Championship games.

Girls U19 Division: Playoff seeding will be based off of the Regular Season league standings. Teams seeded 1 through 4 will compete for the Gold Cup, while teams seeded 5 through 8 will compete for the Silver Cup. Teams seeded third, fourth, fifth and sixth, and ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th will participate in preliminary round games, followed by Semi-Finals and Championship games.
